Buddy is the single most talented multi-instrumentalist I have ever had the pleasure of working with in my career. He plays an astonishing array of instruments, and his sensitivity and ear for melody are unmatched in the business. It was truly a pleasure to work with and call Buddy Woodward my very good friend.
Buddy makes bluegrass pickin' and power pop jangle look easy. He's a session pro of the highest order, and a great chef to boot!
Buddy's elegance and accuracy on a dozen instruments was breathtaking to watch and basically did my production work for me on the new Nymphs album. Hit record, sit back and it sounds finished.
Buddy, or ‘Woodward’ as we call him here at Arrow, is a cool breeze to work with. He’s adept and graceful at enough instruments to build a session quickly and has never had an outburst other than joy. He levitates when playing and finds a place near the stars to rest your ears. He also gives back rubs and makes great tea and coffee when not busy turning strings into still waters or rushing streams of little mercies and tenderness.
Just GREAT music!! What else can I say?
